Job description

Graduate LSA | BS11 | Full Time | September Start

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join a welcoming primary school in the BS11 area of Bristol. This role would suit someone with a degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Sociology or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on classroom experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about education and wants to develop their skills in a supportive school environment. It is also ideal for those considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology or child development.

What You Will Be Doing:

- Supporting children across the primary school (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
- Assisting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
- Providing small group and individual support to help children with their learning
- Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents
- Supporting children with additional needs where required
- Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher

What We Are Looking For:

- A degree in Psychology, Education, Child Development, Sociology or a related subject
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning
- Experience working with children (paid or voluntary)
- A patient, positive and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
