Graduate Learning Mentor

A Leeds Primary school are looking for a Graduate Learning support assistant to work full-time with the Key Stage 2 Class Teachers until the end of the year with the possibility of a permanent contract. If you are a recent University Graduate and aspiring future Primary Teacher this role could be for you! 

The school received ‘GOOD with OUTSTANDING' in there last Ofsted (2017) and have consistently performed well as a school over many years. The Senior Leadership Team are looking for a graduate Learning mentor who can work closely with the Key Stage 2 class teachers to boost the attainment of pupils who are working below or towards the national expectations. This will involve taking smaller booster groups and one on one interventions, so any knowledge of the KS2 curriculum or experience of previously working in KS2 classes would be highly valued by the school. Particularly in; Reading, Writing and Math's.

The school are looking for an enthusiastic graduate who can also contribute to the learning of the whole class in lesson time. The behaviour of the school is very good, and is a very warm and supportive environment to work in. Due to the high SEN intake in the school any experience in mainstream or specialist SEN schools in a support role would also be useful.

Preferences for this role:

-  Recent University Graduate and aspiring Primary Teacher

-  Able to take smaller groups for interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths

-  Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils in an educational capacity 

-  Enthusiasm and commitment
