Graduate Cover Supervisor
Location: Wigan
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Up to £100 per day
Start Date: September

Are you a recent graduate looking to start a career in education? Are you confident, organised, and ready to take on a new challenge in a secondary school environment?

We are seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity to gain paid classroom experience, develop your leadership skills, and support students across a range of subjects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Provide support and guidance to students during lessons

  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning

  • Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A degree (any subject) – recent graduates encouraged to apply

  • An interest in education and a potential future in teaching

  • Confidence to lead a classroom and manage behaviour

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
