Cover Supervisor – Sunderland Secondary School

February start, full time, term time only, £90 to £110 per day.

Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident, flexible, and enthusiastic Graduate Cover Supervisor to join a Sunderland secondary school from February 2026. This role involves supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the work set.

What you'll be doing:

• Delivering pre set work to classes in the absence of the teacher
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensuring a calm, safe, and focused learning environment
• Providing feedback to staff on student progress or issues
• Supporting students with tasks where needed

You need:

• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confidence working with young people aged 11 to 16
• Flexibility and adaptability across subjects and year groups
• Degree or higher level qualification (grade 4 and above)
• Experience in a school or youth setting is an advantage
