Cover Supervisor roles in Rubery, Worcestershire, B45

We are currently looking for several graduates who are looking to expand their knowledge of working with Seocndary aged students within a school setting. 

The ideal candidate is energetic and passionate about education and making a difference. You will also be able to get stuck into lessons and be happy to cover various subjects across the school where needed. Experience is not essential as the school are able to provide shadow days and inductions in addition to access to several courses through teaching personnel

£95- £120 a day, depending on experience

Start Date: ASAP

Hours - 8:30 until 3:30

Job Description:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the school by supervising students in the absence of their usual class teacher. You will ensure that students remain on task with their set work, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support where necessary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support students in the absence of their class teacher.
  • Ensure students remain engaged with set work and complete tasks to the best of their ability.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and address any issues that arise in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues encountered during the lesson.
  • Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Support students with additional needs, where applicable, to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
