Girls’ PE Teacher – Secondary School – Stockport

Location: Stockport
Pay: £120 - 220 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Contract Type: Full-time (Part-time considered)
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract Length: Fixed-term with potential for permanent

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport. The successful candidate will teach Girls’ Physical Education to KS3 and KS4 students and contribute to the school’s thriving extra-curricular sports programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school that values physical wellbeing and promotes a positive, inclusive sporting culture.

Duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Preparing students for practical and theory-based PE assessments (GCSE PE if applicable)

  • Leading girls’ sports clubs and encouraging wider participation

  • Organising and supporting school fixtures, tournaments and activities

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement in practical settings

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or be an experienced unqualified PE instructor

  • Have experience teaching PE to girls in a secondary school setting

  • Be confident teaching a range of sports including netball, rounders, athletics and fitness

  • Be passionate about promoting an active and healthy lifestyle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
