Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join an exciting and vibrant secondary school in Gorton. As an English teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to their academic success.

This will be a full-time role, due to start ASAP.

You will be paid in line with your teacher pay scale point, (£30,000 to £46,525 per annum).

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to support the overall development of students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
