Teacher of English

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an English teacher on behalf of our large client school located in Bolton. This position is set to start from April 2026 on a full-time basis.

This secondary school are looking for an enthusiastic English teacher with experience in teaching, marking and assessing all areas of the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum.

Role responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons incorporating all key areas of the curriculum.
• Engage in the full planning and marking cycle.
• Provide regular and consistent feedback whilst setting appropriate targets.
• Manage classroom behaviour following school guidelines and policies.
• Excellent organisational skills
• High expectations of pupil’s achievement and behaviour.

The successful teacher will have a track record of excellent classroom practice and hold high expectations of their students. You will motivate and inspire students to achieve their full personal and academic potential.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE specialising in English.
• Passion for teaching and fostering a love for learning.
