You would be expected to:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
- Plan and teach engaging, challenging lessons that inspire a love of reading and writing
- Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure strong outcomes
- Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to curriculum development within the English department
- Uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment and pastoral support
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising standards and improving life chances
- Be reflective, resilient and committed to continuous professional development
- Work effectively as part of a team

Salary will be paid in line with the appropriate teaching scale point (MPS/UPS), dependent on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
