Due to an unexpected staffing change, our client secondary in Oldham are currently looking to recruit a specialist Geography teacher on a full time basis, after the Easter break.

  • Oldham based secondary with good accessibility via M60
  • Full time position teaching Geography to KS3 and GCSE level
  • Earn in line with your teaching scale point for duration of the post
  • Opportunity to secure contracted post after successful temporary post

Situated a short distance from Junction 22, Hollinwood Interchange, our client school is a large modern secondary academy with state of the art facilities. Based on recent results, the school is heralded as one of the most improved schools in the country and has a warm, welcoming learning environment in which new staff are given full support to acclimatise and settle into their new role. The school currently has over 1500 students on roll, and is oversubscribed throughout KS3, which can be accredited to the excellent progress being made by the school.

The incoming Geography teacher will deliver Geography lessons to an attentive cohort who are keen to learn and succeed in their studies. Due to the nature of the post, and the expectancy for this to continue beyond the initial term, the school would like the incoming member of staff to take on full responsibility for planning and marking schemes of work, along with preparing students for end of year examinations.

The school are able and willing to support the induction of any newly qualified teachers of Geography, along with offering access to bespoke training and solid career progression opportunities for those looking at their next step in education.

If you would like to be taken into consideration for this position as a Geography teacher, please send your CV in response to the advert or contact Miles at the Manchester North Secondary branch.
