Geography Teacher (September 2026 Start)

Are you a fully qualified Geography teacher (QTS) based in South Manchester and looking to secure a full-time role for September 2026?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a range of well-regarded secondary schools across South Manchester, all seeking passionate and committed Geography specialists for permanent and long-term positions starting this September.

About the role

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Contract: Full-time (long-term with potential for permanent placement)
  • Location: South Manchester secondary school
  • Pay: Long-term roles paid to scale (MPS/UPS)

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, assess, and monitor student progress in line with the national curriculum
  • Differentiate lessons to support mixed-ability learners
  • Contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking Humanities department
  • Promote positive learning outcomes and high standards of behaviour

We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Geography in UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
