The school is a personalised community which is committed to creating careers for people. It is experienced in supporting NQTs and indeed enjoys this aspect of staff development but it has had equal success in fostering the careers of colleagues who join having taught in other schools or have had other careers.
Teachers provide outstanding Geography teaching at the school with generous resources and all teachers have their own classroom which includes a range of interactive technology. Geography colleagues benefit from the participation in the Prince's Teaching Institute and their professional development is supported by senior colleagues who have a track record of outstanding examination results. Geography is popular at both GCSE and A-level and in recent years Geography students have visited Iceland, Italy, Dorset, the New Forest Wales and Norfolk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin their career as a geography teacher as NQTs may also apply. To find out more about the school please send your CV to Emma along with a cover letter.
