General Supply Teacher

Date posted : 07/03/19
£95 - £120 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Working with a number of the secondary schools in Warrington, we are looking to recruit teachers who are available for any general supply teaching work. We are supporting one of the prevalent trusts in the Warrington area and as a result have become inundated with general day to day supply requests from these secondary schools which are distributed across the main central area of Warrington.

If you are a teacher looking for flexible general supply teaching on a daily basis, then apply now for immediate consideration. The schools we work with are situated in the Warrington education authority as well as those on the West side of Trafford including Urmston and Irlam.

The role of a general supply teacher is to cover lessons in the absence of the school's permanent teacher in a whole host of subjects across the spectrum. You will have full flexibility over being available on a full time or part time basis with access to your diary where you can update your availability directly. This role is ideal for qualified teachers of any experience looking for as much work as that which suits the individual's personal schedule. This role is also ideal for teachers looking for an introduction to a longer term, more permanent position as we find general supply teaching can lead to a medium/long term placement if applicable for the teacher.

Highlights of the general supply teaching position:

  • Pay range between £95 - £120 per day depending on school and experience/specialism
  • Teach in a variety of secondary schools in the Warrington area including Birchwood, Padgate, Grappenhall and Great Sankey for example
  • Regular teaching work where schools ask for the same teachers back providing continuity and consistency for students
  • Regular CPD opportunities with Teaching Personnel and access to an online diary and system providing full flexibility

Working with numerous secondary schools in the Warrington area, we have found a lot of the general supply teaching work can come through on a day to day basis reactively receiving calls from schools first thing each morning. We also get a lot of pre-emptive calls from schools looking to pre-book general supply teachers in advance which can benefit those teachers looking to pre plan childcare and personal schedules.

If you are a qualified teacher looking for general supply teaching work in the Warrington area then apply now for an immediate call back to register with Teaching Personnel. Please apply advising on your preference and current situation and most up to date CV using the link below.
