Science Teacher Tameside

  • Full time Science teaching maternity
  • Teaching high achieving students in a Good graded Ofsted school
  • Working within a high performing Science department

Highly respected Roman Catholic Secondary school in Tameside are in need of a Science teacher for the summer term to cover a maternity. This school are looking for an inspirational teacher of Science who will add a freshness of ideas and knowledge to an already high performing Science department.

With over 800 pupils on roll the school there is an aim to provide all their pupils with high quality teaching and learning within a supportive environment.

Graded all around in there last Ofsted report the school has high aspirations for their students and high expectations for their teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and aspiring Scientist looking to work with students whoa chive well above national averages academically.

This is a full time Science teaching post after Easter for the duration of the maternity likely to December 2017. The school has a low level of pupils eligible for free school meals at 18% and low levels of SEN at 3%.

The school is located in the M34 post code of Tameside, within half a mile of the M67and has regular public bus and train routes nearby.

Highlights of this Science teaching position;

**Maternity cover on a long term supply basis until December 2017

**High achieving students and expectations

**Pay ranging from £95-£160 per day

**Supportive Science department and senior leadership team

You will be given access to the schools regular CPD training and be expected to contribute to the department’s development. Ideally you will have experience teaching across the Science to KS4 and have a proven track record of raising attainment.

If you are a Science teacher with QTS and teaching experience in the UK. Suitable teaching references and have or be able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS.
