General Learning Support Assistant – SEN School in Bristol
Location: Bristol
Positions: Full-Time & Part-Time Available
Age Range: 11–16 (KS3 & KS4)
Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs to reach their full potential? We are a specialist SEN school in Bristol looking for Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team.
Our school provides a safe, nurturing environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Many of our students are also diagnosed with Autism and present with complex needs.
The Role:

Support pupils aged 11–16 in the classroom and around the school

Build positive, trusting relationships with students
-
Help deliver tailored learning plans and emotional regulation strategies
-
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs

Contribute to creating a calm, supportive and engaging learning environment
We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN experience is a plus but not essential)

A caring, patient and resilient attitude
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
