Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school-based Oldham who are looking for a general cover supervisor to start full time after October half-term. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is considering a career within teaching but wanting to gain further experience within a mainstream secondary school.

About the role:

  • Start date: 3rd November
  • Ongoing/long-term, full-time opportunity
  • Competitive daily pay

As a general Cover Supervisor, you will work across KS3 and KS4 covering a range of subjects in the absence of the class teachers. All work and resources are pre-planned and provided so these must be completed to a high standard. You will manage behaviour and follow the school’s behaviour policies when necessary. Additionally, you will feedback to heads of departments when necessary, providing any significant information on student’s behavioural updates/incidents.

  • Experience working with young people in any setting is necessary
  • A confident yet calm approach to challenging behaviour
  • Organised and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and improving

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
