GCSE English Tutor

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced GCSE English Tutor to work with pupils who are not currently in a mainstream classroom setting. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who can provide tailored support to help students achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one or small-group tuition in GCSE English Language and Literature.

• Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs, particularly for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

• Support students in developing confidence in reading, writing, and analytical skills.

• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support student development.

Requirements:

• Experience tutoring or teaching English at GCSE level.

• A strong understanding of SEN and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse educational needs.

• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
