Future Teachers Teaching Assistant - Rochdale

Teaching Personnel have Launched a Future Teachers training programme, which aims to support graduates into education based experiences and provide professional development before being placed into an initial teacher training (ITT) opportunity.

Once enrolled, you will be given access to FREE online professional development courses and are designed specifically for the development of future teachers. These courses are not obligatory however are highly recommended to create more opportunity for yourself.

Additionally, you will be given a placement which will be between one term and a full academic year and provide a valuable insight into the role of a qualified teacher to help you decide if this is the career for you, before beginning initial teacher training. Your placement will be in a primary, secondary or special needs school (you can indicate your preference). During the placement you will work full time and receive weekly pay. Pay rates vary depending on location and school. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor, you will engage in a range of tasks to get a full feel of what it would be like to be a teacher, from supporting pupils with their studies in small groups and 1:1, to assisting class teachers across all departments including your specialism and getting involved with planning/delivering your own lessons! Once your choice is established we can help you get settled into an initial teacher training placement with a choice of multiple of our client schools.
