Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching?
Teaching Personnel is offering a unique opportunity through our Future Teachers Programme, designed to help graduates gain valuable school-based experience before enrolling on a formal teacher training course.

This paid, school-based placement provides aspiring teachers with the chance to work in a supportive classroom environment, develop their confidence, and build the practical skills needed for a successful teacher training application in the future.


What is the Future Teachers Programme?

The Future Teachers Programme is a year-long school placement where you’ll:

  • Work as a teaching assistant or cover supervisor.

  • Gain first-hand experience in the classroom.

  • Receive regular training and professional development.

  • Be supported by experienced educators and Teaching Personnel staff.

  • Prepare for a PGCE, SCITT, or School Direct teacher training course the following year.


Who is this for?

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • Are educated to degree level (any subject – though core subjects are highly sought after).

  • Have a genuine interest in teaching as a long-term career.

  • Are enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn.

  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • May be considering applying for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in 2026.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
