Fully Qualified Teacher – SEN / SEMH Schools

Locations: Chorley & Skelmersdale
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time considered)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and committed Fully Qualified Teacher to work across a range of SEN and SEMH schools in Chorley and Skelmersdale. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, and learning support in specialist settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and complex needs
  • Manage and support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) challenges
  • Implement and review IEPs and EHCPs
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience working in SEN and/or SEMH settings is highly desirable
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A resilient, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
