Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £90-105 per day (based on a 6.5 hour working day)
Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a mainstream primary school in Birmingham to support children with SEN and challenging behaviours. We are currently seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to work with students with SEMH, ASD, and other special educational needs.
This role will involve working closely, often on a 1:1 basis, with specific students to support their educational, social, and emotional needs. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including those with prior experience in schools, health and social care, challenging behaviour settings, psychology, 1:1 support, sports coaching, and mentoring.
The ideal candidate will:
- Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom, ensuring the students are well-cared for and engaged with the content being delivered.
- Have experience supporting children with SEN and their associated learning difficulties.
- Understand the social, emotional, and academic needs of students with SEN.
- Be committed to building and maintaining positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Bring a warm, friendly, and positive approach to the classroom.
- Be caring, patient, and understanding in their interactions with students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
