Full-Time SEN Teacher – Huddersfield (HD Postcodes)
Daily Rate: £160–£210/day | Full-Time | Long-Term/Short-Term | Temp-to-Perm
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Huddersfield. This is a full-time position for a teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established SEN Teacher, or a mainstream Teacher with proven SEND experience, who is now ready to focus fully on specialist education.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and complex needs.

Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet EHCP targets.

Lead and support a team of SEN TAs and HLTAs in the classroom.

Implement effective behaviour management, including strategies such as Team Teach.

Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular reports to parents, carers, and external professionals.

Contribute to whole-school initiatives, CPD, and safeguarding practices.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential.

Experience teaching pupils with SEN (either in a specialist or mainstream setting).

Strong differentiation and classroom management skills.

Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Additional SEN training such as Makaton, PECS, Moving & Handling, or Team Teach is desirable.
