Year 5/6 Teacher - GOOD Primary School in Sutton

Full time teaching role

The Head teacher of a reputable Primary School in Sutton, would like to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated classroom teacher to take on the full time role of Year 5/6 Teacher from September 2019. This role has cropped up due to a recent resignation and will be a temp-perm position.

The School possesses a strong and passionate team who are capable of moving the school from GOOD to OUTSTANDING, they are therefore looking for an individual who holds the following capabilities:

  • A teacher who is passionate about learning and uses a range of teaching styles to get the most out of their children.
  • A teacher with strong classroom management skills and a range of behaviour strategies.
  • Someone who is committed to providing challenge and opportunity to all children, using well planned lesson content to stimulate the children's learning.
  • A teacher who has high expectations for all the children in the classroom
  • A person who can develop excellent positive relationships with all members of the community and staff across the school.
  • A teacher who is dedicated to ensuring excellent progress for all children and is able to monitor this and use pupil progress meetings to deliver the progress to the Head teacher.

  • A strong commitment to continuing CPD in all areas with support for learning within school; you will be expected to attend additional INSET days and possibly lead a subject

If you are a newly, recently or fully inducted teacher than you will be considered for this role. You must hold QTS and have a passion for raising standards in the classroom. As part of the vetting process with Teaching Personnel, you will be expected to provide a career history where we can take at least two references from your most recent employers. You will also be expected to present your DBS, this must be registered with the update service.
