Salary: GBP57-65 per day

The head teacher of a fantastic school in Thornbury is seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and reliable Intervention Support to support students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a really fantastic primary school that is easily accessible by both a car and on public transport. This school requires someone who can support students academically in small groups as well as on a one-to-one basis. You will be supporting students who require additional academic support as they aren’t achieving the expected grades or are falling behind. You will be predominantly supporting the core subjects such as literacy and maths but may also be supporting the class teacher with all the subjects throughout the day.

This school also has a high number of SEN needs so any experience working with pupils who have special educational needs is desired, however not essential. This role will require someone who is enthusiastic, positive and engaging as some of these students lack confidence or are disengaged; therefore, you will need to be flexible and use initiative to find ways to engage these children.
