Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in Blackburn from September on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups.

Role Overview:
As an HLTA, you will be responsible for covering classes across different year groups, delivering pre-planned lessons, and supporting pupils’ progress in the absence of the class teacher. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver lessons across various year groups in line with provided plans
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Support the academic and personal development of pupils
Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
Provide feedback on pupil progress

Requirements:

HLTA qualification (essential)
Proven previous experience working in an HLTA role
Strong classroom management skills
Flexibility and confidence covering different subjects and age groups
A proactive and positive approach to supporting learning

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
