Location: Monmouthshire, South Wales
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Starting October 2025 until end of academic year
About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate English Teacher to join one of our trusted secondary schools in the Monmouthshire area.
This full-time role offers the opportunity to inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 to 5, strengthening their literacy, analytical thinking, and communication skills. You will also be encouraged to take an active role in the wider school community by supporting extracurricular activities such as productions, clubs, and trips, while contributing to the creation of engaging schemes of work and high-quality teaching resources.

What We’re Looking for?
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have proven experience teaching English KS3/KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Can create an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are completing their induction
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Two recent professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
