Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas
Position: Full-Time Cover Supervisor
Salary: £95 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you looking to build a career in education while making a daily impact in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Full-Time Cover Supervisors to work across our partnership secondary schools in Liverpool for the upcoming 2025/26 academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience and play a vital role in supporting student learning and behaviour in the absence of the class teacher.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing student behaviour, and maintaining a positive learning environment across a range of subjects and year groups (ages 11–16).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and supervise set lessons in the absence of teaching staff
  • Ensure students remain on task and complete the work provided
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour
  • Support the school’s ethos and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment

Requirements:

  • A degree is preferred, though strong academic background and relevant experience will be considered
  • Confident and professional classroom presence
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with secondary-age students, either in education or youth settings
  • Commitment to full-time availability during term time
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in education (ideal for aspiring teachers)
