Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in Reception classes in a LE8 primary. The successful candidates will demonstrate:
- the ability to assist the class teacher to plan effective and challenging programmes of study for all children which is set at each child's individual level
- A good knowledge of the Foundation Phase and the Curriculum;
-An ability to work with small groups of children, both indoors and outdoors, to support their learning;
-An ability to establish good working relationships with the children, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs;
-That they are able to supervise and support children, ensuring their safety and access to learning;
-How to work as an important member of the Reception team, helping with the display of children's work and undertaking a range of tasks including photocopying, laminating and filing;
-How to work independently and to develop child initiated learning;
-How to track pupil progress within the programmes of study;
-That they are able to use and apply whole school child protection procedures;
-How to be a vital member of the Foundation Phase and the staff team.

You will also need a DBS which is Child Workforce ONLY which in registered on the Update Service.
