For September the school based in West Sussex who are considered to be a ‘good’ school are seeking to increase their technology team by recruiting a teacher of Food Technology. It is an exciting time to join this school as they have just extended their technology department, installing state of the art kitchens and workshops.

- A commitment to the on-going development of the subject and its role in helping the school achieve its aims.
- An established, dynamic and supportive staff team committed to ensuring a productive and successful place to work.

The school is seeking a well-qualified teacher to teach KS3 and KS4 Food Technology. It is fundamental that the successful application is creative, resourceful and can motivate and enthuse students.
Food Technology is taught to all students in KS3 on a termly, rotational basis with Art and Design & Technology. There is a strong emphasis on encouraging independent learning through practical participation, providing opportunities for students to develop a confidence and love of creating with food, as well as developing valuable life skills. This is an optional subject at KS4 and students study the AQA GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course (8585). Option subjects have a little over 13% of curriculum time and there is usually at least one double lesson to support the development of high-level technical food skills.
If you are looking for a new and exciting role at a very desirable school to work at, please submit your application ASAP. Interviews will commence week beginning 17th May
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Applicants invited for interview will be required to produce proof of identity, right to work in the UK and qualifications.
