Our client, a specialist school based in Towcester, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver hands-on, creative learning to students with a range of additional needs, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism spectrum conditions, and other learning differences. Your lessons will support students in learning about nutrition, cooking techniques, food safety, and healthy lifestyles in a safe and inspiring learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A background in Food Technology, Hospitality, or a related subject area

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable
-
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential)

A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching

The ability to deliver practical, skills-based lessons that engage and inspire

Strong classroom management and communication skills
