Food Technician – Secondary School – Bournemouth
Full-Time, Term Time Only
A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technician to join their Design and Technology department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a practical, hands-on environment and is passionate about supporting students in developing essential life skills through food preparation and nutrition.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Food Technology teaching staff to ensure the smooth running of lessons and practical sessions. This will include preparing ingredients and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and safety in the food rooms, and supporting students during their practical work.
The ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience working within a school or food preparation environment (though full training can be provided)

Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Demonstrate an understanding of food hygiene, health, and safety procedures

Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting young people in their learning

Be proactive, adaptable, and willing to contribute to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
