Job description

Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Swansea Centre

Make a Difference Every Day!

Are you passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential? Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to start a rewarding career in education, we'd love to hear from you!

We're recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the SA5 area, known for its nurturing environment, dedicated staff, and commitment to helping every child thrive. The school is recognised for creating a caring, supportive atmosphere where every child feels valued. With a strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and personalised learning, staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed both academically and socially.

The Role

  • ‍ Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or across the whole class.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons.
  • Build pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • ❤️ Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • ⭐ Play a key role in helping children achieve their individual goals.

What We Offer

  • £92.63 per day
  • Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities to suit your lifestyle.
  • Working hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm
  • Opportunities for short-term, long-term, and permanent placements.
  • Free CPD and training courses to develop your skills.
  • A dedicated local consultant who genuinely gets to know you and your career goals.

Why Choose Teaching Personnel?

At Teaching Personnel, we believe you're more than just a number. As the UK's leading education recruitment agency, we've been connecting education professionals with schools for over 25 years, building trusted relationships with schools across Swansea and the wider area.

When you join us, you'll benefit from:

  • Flexible work that fits around your commitments and lifestyle.
  • Exclusive access to local schools, including roles you won't always find advertised elsewhere.
  • A personal consultant who takes the time to understand the type of role, school, and working pattern that's right for you.
  • Free professional development, including CPD-accredited training to enhance your skills and boost your career.
  • Opportunities to progress into long-term, permanent, and specialist education roles.
  • Competitive weekly pay with a straightforward payroll process.
  • ⭐ Ongoing support before, during, and after every placement—we're with you every step of the way.

We pride ourselves on providing honest advice, excellent communication, and opportunities that genuinely match your aspirations. Our goal is to help you find a role where you'll thrive, not just fill a vacancy.

We're Looking For

  • A passion for working with children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
