Flexible Teaching Assistant at a Secondary School in Manchester City Centre

Are you passionate about education and making a positive impact on young minds? Do you have experience working with secondary school students? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking a flexible teaching assistant to join the team at a client secondary school based in Manchester city centre, starting on 30th October.

Our client school is located in the heart of Manchester city centre and is committed to providing high-quality education to its diverse student population. With state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive learning environment, the school always strives to create an inclusive and engaging educational experience for all students.

As a flexible teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Supervising students during break times and off-site activities.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as preparing materials and maintaining records.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications: A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with secondary school students is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility: The ability to adapt to different teaching styles and work with diverse student needs is essential.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities is crucial in this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
