How does the idea of working flexibly on the days you want to work sound? As a supply teacher through Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to do adhoc cover on the days that suit you and work on a flexible basis chosen by you!
We are currently recruiting for Secondary Teachers to work across schools in the Gateshead and Newcastle area for the September 2023 academic year.
We have both full time and part time cover available (if you would like to work as a supply teacher on a flexible basis we can also accommodate to that)
The schools we work with will vary in distance from your house, however you can tell us how far you are willing to travel and to what areas. As a supply teacher, you would deliver the work left by the class teacher and leave brief feedback at the end of the day.
We are looking for an excellent class teacher who:
- Hold a UK teaching qualification such as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ,ECT, PGCE, SCITT or Bachelor of Education (BEd) with the ability to absorb well from your mentor (final year students who will receive their qualifications at the end of this academic year will also be considered dependent on their experience and application )
- DBS on the Update Service (If you do not have a DBS on the Update Service, we can help you with this).
- Is professional and hard-working
- demonstrates high standards of positive behaviour management
- Has high expectations of themselves and children
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Enthusiasm and a passion about education and learning
- Can demonstrate excellent teaching consistently
- Are determined to achieve high standards and progress for all our children
- Is committed to whole school improvement through being part of, and contributing to, a whole school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
