Academic Year 2025/2026
Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas
Position: Cover Supervisor (Flexible, Full-time/Part-time options available)
Salary: £95 – £110 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you looking for a flexible and rewarding role in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking adaptable and committed Cover Supervisors to work in partnership with a variety of secondary schools across Liverpool for the 2025/26 academic year.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the classroom during teacher absences. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set work, managing student behaviour, and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and conduct
  • Uphold school policies and support the wellbeing of pupils

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) – degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident in managing groups of students (11–16 years)
  • Reliable, flexible, and available at short notice
  • Experience in a school setting is advantageous but not essential
