Flexible Cover Supervisor
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of secondary schools across the Oldham and Rochdale area. We are looking for flexible cover supervisors who are passionate about improving the learning of young people and wanting to work within supportive and inclusive schools.
This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for a flexible role within a school.
About the role:
- Start-date: Immediate upon registration (2-3 weeks)
- Flexible working pattern, pick your availability
- Competitive daily rate
As a general Cover Supervisor, you will cover a range of classes with students across KS3/4 in the absence of the class teacher. This may include subject specific cover, or general cover where each lesson could be different. All work and resources are pre-planned and must be completed to a high standard. You will manage behaviour of the students, ensuring the schools behaviour policies are followed when necessary.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with young people (preferably within an educational setting)
- Confident with behaviour management
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach with students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
- Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
