EYFS Teaching Assistant – Bishop Auckland

Location: Bishop Auckland
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Position Type: Temporary (with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a passionate and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bishop Auckland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about early years education and eager to support young children as they take their first steps in learning.

Role Overview:
In this role, you will work alongside the class teacher to provide engaging, high-quality support across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will assist with planning and delivering creative, play-based activities that nurture children’s social, emotional, and academic development within a caring and inclusive environment.

Requirements:
✅ A recognised qualification or training covering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
✅ A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate
✅ Previous experience working with young children in an EYFS or early primary setting
✅ A positive, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing

Desirable:
⭐ Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
