Job Title: Level 2 Early Years General Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackburn (BB2)
Start Date: October 2023
Working Hours: Full-time, 8.45am - 3.30pm, Monday - Friday
Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and helping children embark on their educational journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Early Years General Teaching Assistant to join our team in Blackburn (BB2) starting in October 2023.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Level 2 Early Years General Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to our experienced teaching staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Classroom Support: Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners.
- Student Assistance: Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and provide additional support where needed.
- Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining classroom discipline and promoting respectful behaviour.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
- Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class and break times.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support students effectively.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications and qualities:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification: A recognisd Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
- Passion for Education: An enthusiasm for working with young children and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other team members.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience and Empathy: The ability to work patiently with young learners and adapt to their individual needs.
- DBS Check: A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
