Job Advert: EYFS Teaching Assistant Needed – Immediate Start
Location: Northamptonshire
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing


Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early years of education?
A welcoming primary school in Northamptonshire is seeking a nurturing and reliable EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is committed to supporting their learning and development in a caring, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum

  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning

  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment

  • Assist with observations, assessments, and day-to-day classroom tasks

  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an EYFS or primary setting (school or nursery)

  • A relevant childcare or TA qualification is desirable (e.g., Level 2 or 3)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
