EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

ASC Teaching Assistant required for "Good" Primary School in Bolton, BL4.

Experience of working with Autism (ASC), ideally with challenging behaviour.

Ability to work with Autistic children, traits of Autism and mechanisms to engage and include children.

Working with pupils with potential challenging behaviours but great support with the SENCO and Inclusion Team.

A “good” primary school in Boltton are looking to recruit a 1:1 ASC teaching assistant to work with a pupil with Autism from September for the full academic year but could lead to permanent placement. This role requires someone who has experience of working with children with ASC, whether it’s on the verbal or non verbal spectrum. This is a great Bolton primary school to work in, with a friendly environment and a hard-working team ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a school’s permanent contract.

The Role:

• Year 1 boy –ASC – Lovely boy but can be challenging at times, intelligent, verbal and very receptive. Social communication is a struggle. Needs help with integration with the rest of the class but very smart.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
