Role: EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Frampton Cotterell

Salary: £57 - 65 per day

When: Immediate start - Full-time Role

Teaching Personnel work with a school in the Frampton Cotterell that are seeking an EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant. This role is to start immediately and the hours are Mon-Friday 8:30-3:30pm. This is a really great school where staff are made to feel welcome and supported in a friendly environment. This is a 1:1 role where there are three children that you could be assigned to work with depending on what would work best for the child. You could be supporting children with a range of needs including speech and language issues, global delay and autism and SEMH on a 1:1 basis; so any experience with this is desired. Your day-to-day activities will include supporting the child with all activities throughout the day as well as working 1:1 on bespoke plans which may include messy play and outdoors play. This child is working at a toddler level and although does not have challenging behaviour the day can be quite full on due to the child becoming frustrated with his lack of communication.

The ideal candidate:

  • Sensitive to the needs of children
  • Basic knowledge of the school curriculum
  • Be able to communicate effectively
  • Be passionate, engaging and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work effectively with students and staff
  • Be excellent at supporting students individually as well as in small groups
  • Any experience with SEN students is desire however not necessary
