Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children’s learning and development?
We’re currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Caerphilly and Blackwood. You’ll play a vital role in supporting classroom learning and providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning needs, working alongside committed teachers and school staff.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners and become a valued part of a supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.

Provide 1:1 and small group support, particularly to pupils with additional needs.

Assist with planning and preparing classroom resources and learning activities.

Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.

Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage student participation.

Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them reach their full potential.
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary school.

Confident supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs.

Patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Passionate about education and committed to making a difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
