The Role

As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and boost attainment.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
  • Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be confident supporting students across a range of abilities and needs.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Have a proactive and flexible approach to working within a classroom environment.
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
