The Role
As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and boost attainment.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
- Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident supporting students across a range of abilities and needs.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Have a proactive and flexible approach to working within a classroom environment.
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Hold relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent experience (desirable).
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
