The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN
• Promoting student engagement, confidence, and independence
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver tailored support
• Supporting classroom behaviour management and learning activities
• Helping students overcome barriers to learning
• Encouraging positive relationships and wellbeing throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about supporting young people in education
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
• Confident working with secondary-aged students
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Experienced in education, youth work, care, mentoring, coaching, or SEN support (desirable but not essential)
• Looking for a rewarding role within a secondary school setting
