Experienced Teaching Assistant
Location: Bath
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Start Date: September 2026
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of welcoming and supportive schools across Bath from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact within the classroom. The role will involve working closely with teachers to provide academic, emotional and behavioural support to pupils across a range of age groups and abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
- Experience supporting SEN pupils is desirable
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting education
- Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
