Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full time SEN Teaching Assistant in B13. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH)
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
  • Monitor and record pupil progress

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role
  • Strong understanding of SEN needs, including autism and behavioural challenges
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) preferred
  • Safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child welfare
  • Full time Monday - Friday
