Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate and committed Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who requires additional support. This role offers the chance to build a strong, positive relationship with a child and help them grow in confidence, independence, and learning.
You will be supporting a student with needs such as ADHD, ASD, and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Working alongside the SENCO and teaching staff, you will ensure the support provided is consistent, tailored, and impactful.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting one pupil throughout their school day, helping them access learning in a way that works for them
- Adapting activities and lessons to suit their individual needs and learning style
- Encouraging communication, emotional regulation, and positive interactions
- Using patience and understanding to manage behaviour and build trust
- Celebrating achievements and helping the student develop independence
- Working closely with teachers and specialists to follow and contribute to EHCP targets
- Keeping clear records of progress and sharing updates with the team
