SEN Teaching Assistant Required

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable.
  • Candidates without a DBS must be willing to apply for one prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support.
  • Assisting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Working closely with teachers to implement individual learning plans.
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
