Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: England, Greater London, Croydon
Job Description:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of examinations in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Your primary role will be to maintain a secure exam environment, monitor candidates during exams, and handle any issues that may arise. This position requires a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict protocols.
Job Duties:
- Setting up examination rooms and materials before the start of exams
- Checking candidates' identification and ensuring compliance with exam regulations
- Distributing exam papers and monitoring the exam process to prevent cheating or misconduct
- Providing assistance to candidates as needed during the exam
- Collecting and securely storing completed exam papers
- Reporting any irregularities or issues to the relevant authorities
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliability and punctuality
Education:
No specific educational requirements, but a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience as an exam invigilator or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of exam procedures and protocols
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold exam integrity
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Experience working in an educational setting
Working Conditions:
This role may require standing for extended periods and working flexible hours, including evenings during peak exam periods.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
