Ex-Military Support Worker

A school in Preston are seeking Support Assistants who come from a military background, to work with pupils who are disengaged from education and express challenging behaviours. The School is smaller than average and pupils in school have Social, Emotional, Mental Health and behavioural bifficulties, which can sometimes result in physically and verbally aggressive behaviours.

From previous experience, we have found that those who come from a military background have worked well in Pupil Referral Units to enhance the lives of students of a challenging nature, by instilling discipline in a positive and professional manner, whilst acting as a positive role model. Sometimes pupils with SEMH can lack structure, routine and guidance and we have found that those from an army or military background earn the respect of others quickly using their strong presence, intellect and character to turn the lives of the students around.

The role is a full time, long-term opportunity and could result in a permanent position!
